Starbucks is, most likely, the most popular coffee chain in America today.
Starbucks has become popular not only for its coffee shops, but also for its coffee gear (like mugs) and affordable roasts you can purchase at many local grocery stores.
Many people, to save money on buying coffee out every day, will opt for a bag of Starbucks “Light Blonde” Roast or “Columbia” Roast to brew at home.
However, an unfortunate truth about Starbucks makes buying their coffee, whether at a shop or in the coffee aisle, less of a good option for conservatives.
In the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, Starbucks announced it would “cover travel costs for workers who had to go more than 100 miles to access an abortion.”
In case there was any confusion on where the company stands, Starbucks appears on the official list of Planned Parenthood’s corporate supporters.
Unfortunately, this is no surprise. Over the last couple of decades, companies and corporations have made it clear where they stand on the issue of abortion.
With Starbucks continuing down the road of radical ideology, conservatives are left to wonder what alternative they might have for their morning pick-me-up.
Anton Krecic thought the same thing and decided to do something about it by founding Seven Weeks Coffee.
Regarding how the company was started, Anton notes,
Billy Graham famously said he believed the next move of God would be believers making a difference in the marketplace.
In the fall of 2019, at the age of 22, I moved to DC to get involved in the political process, because I wanted to promote Godly values in government. As I began a career in the political arena, two things became obvious about values in Washington: godly principles are lacking on both sides of the aisle, and many organizations put profits before people.
Seven Weeks Coffee was started to reverse this trend and to live out Graham’s calling as a believer in the marketplace. As a value-based business, we are putting people before profits…
Yet, Seven Weeks Coffee is more than just another coffee company. It is dedicated to the pro-life cause. This is where the company’s name comes from– at seven weeks gestation, the unborn baby is the size of a coffee bean!
In addition to this, 10% of every sale is donated to a pregnancy care center.
In just over two years, Seven Weeks Coffee has made a massive impact. Their donations page states that over $400,000 has been donated and over 850 pro-life organizations have been supported, with an estimated 3,500 lives saved because of these donations.
This company practices what it preaches.
Furthermore, Seven Weeks Coffee is ethically sourced from farm to mug. As their site states,
Not many coffee companies can trace their crops to the farmer level… we can. Through our sourcing partners, we personally know every farmer who grows the coffee you drink.
When you buy Seven Weeks Coffee, you can rest assured that you are not only drinking a high-quality cup of coffee but also saving lives with every sip.
